After 4 years, the Swiss country band presents a new album with contemporary country songs. "Open Minds" contains the band's own compositions which were written by individual band members in co-operation with Nicole Bingham or Abi Gassmann as well as conversions by well-known interpreters such as Tanya Tucker, Ricochet, Highway 101, the Johner Brothers or Hugh Moffat. In addition, the new CD contains a so-called "animal protection song". The lyrics of this song were written by Daniela Mühleis' long-standing American pen pal and songwriter Larry Brown and also deals with a contemporary subject.

The "bonus-track" contains German, Italian, Czechoslovakian, English, Dutch and French announcements by Daniela which have been recorded during live-concerts of DMB in the respective countries. This recording of foreign memories is concluded with the TV-presenter's announcement of DMB's musical contribution at the "Miss-Albania-TV-Show" in 1995 in Tirana.

In order to make it easier for the listener to understand the songs, the lyrics have once again been printed in English with German translations in the booklet.

Nach 4 Jahren präsentiert die Ostschweizer Formation ein neues Album mit zeitgemässen Country-Songs. So findet man auf "Open Minds" Eigenkompositionen, die in Zusammenarbeit einzelner Bandmitglieder mit Nicole Bingham oder Abi Gassmann entstanden, Conversions von Interpreten wie Tanya Tucker, Ricochet, Highway 101, den Johner Brothers oder Hugh Moffat sowie einen sogenannten "Tierschutz-Song". Dessen Text wurde von Daniela's langjährigem, amerikanischem Brieffreund und Songwriter Larry Brown verfasst und behandelt wiederum ein aktuelles Thema.

Der "Bonus-Track" beinhaltet deutsche, italienische, tschechische, englische, holländische und französische Ansagen von Daniela, die während den Live-Auftritten von DMB in besagten Ländern aufgenommen wurden. Den Abschluss der Aufzeichnungen einzelner Auslanderinnerungen macht der TV-Präsentator der "Miss Albania-TV-Show" mit der Ankündigung der musikalischen Teilnahme von DMB and der "Miss Albania-TV-Show" von 1995 in Tirana.

Zum besseren Verständnis wurden die Song-Texte auch diesmal wieder in Englisch mit deutscher Übersetzung im Booklet abgedruckt.
